What is ANSI-Map?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This is a small program created for the LORD2: New World door game
written by Seth Able. It allows you to easily export a LORD2 map
screen into a plain ANSI file. It also contains a small utility to
view files which contain the LORD color codes, as well as ANSI
control sequences.
Installation
=-=-=-=-=-=-
There's nothing to it. Just copy the included files into your
LORD2 directory, and type ANSIMAP. That's it! Really!
How do I use it?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
It's pretty easy. Most commands are displayed on the current
screen. Just move the cursor around until you have found the
map you want. Pressing Enter will take you into the Map view,
where you are able to export the maps. You can also use the
arrow keys inside the Map view to move to the adjoining maps.
Press Q to return to the World screen. Pressing E from the
World screen will allow you to export the world screen to an
ANSI.
Is this cool program free?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Well, no. :) But registering it for just 5 bucks(what a deal!)
will give you access to a few extra features, and you will have
the satisfaction of supporting shareware. hehe. Look in the
ORDER.FRM for more information on registering.
Well what do I get for registering?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Registering unlocks a few features, along with the ANSI/LORD
file viewer. Here are some quick docs on the file viewer:
Just type in the name of the file to view. While you are viewing
the file, you will see a bar at the bottom of the screen with three
commands on it. "C" or Enter displays the next page of the file.
And "N" displays the file nonstop. "Q" quits. Anytime you are
viewing a file, you can press space to pause the display, or enter
to quit.
Registering also unlocks options in the Export menu. The first
option allows you to have the ANSI clear the screen before it
displays. The second option adds a title bar at the bottom
containing the area's name.
By registering this product, all future updates will be FREE!
Where to reach me
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
While BBS's dropping like flies in my area, there are still two
around where I can be reached, and where you can always find the
newest versions of any product I release. Note I don't run these,
I just call them. :)

technical problems and such. I really want to know what you think
of this program, and any features you would like to see added to
it in future releases.
